YES Bank Reported Its Q2 Earnings

A 47% increase in net profit to Rs 225.21 cr.

In the second quarter of the present financial year, October 21 recorded a 47.4% increase in net profit to Rs 225.21 crore.

The bank's net profit for the preceding quarter of that year was Rs 152.82 crore.

Sequentially, net profit decreases by more than 34%.

The bank's gross non-performing asset ratio decreased during the reporting quarter, indicating an improvement in asset quality.

As of September 30, gross non-performing assets (NPA) totaled an absolute Rs 4319.03 crore.

On September 30, the net NPA was Rs 27419.11 crore.

Provisions and contingencies decreased 14.1% year over year to Rs 500.38 crore in the reporting quarter.

PCR of the bank was 56.4 percent, down from 48.4 percent in the previous quarter.
