Under The Vishwakarma Scheme The Center Will Offer A Loan Of Rs 1 Lakh At A Maximum Interest Rate Of 5% To Support Traditional Talents: According to the “PM Vishwakarma” initiative, which was authorized by the union cabinet headed by the prime minister on Wednesday, a loan of Rs 1 lakh will be given to persons who have traditional skills. Ashwini Vaishnaw, a minister for the Union, said this.

The initiative, which will help nearly 30 lakh traditional artisans and craftsmen, including weavers, goldsmiths, blacksmiths, laundry workers, and barbers, has received approval from the Union Cabinet in the amount of Rs 13,000 crore.

In his Independence Day speech on Tuesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced the program.

Communications Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw announced the program following the Cabinet meeting. A subsidized loan of Rs 1 lakh and an extra Rs 2 lakh would be provided to craftsmen in two installments.

The loans will be offered at a 5% discounted interest rate. The program would be introduced on September 17 on Vishwakarma Jayanti, the prime minister stated on Tuesday.
